Tillandsia Xerographica, often called the Queen of Tillandsia, is a spectacular epiphytic plant native to the dry forests of Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. Its name "Xerographica" means "dry writing" in Greek, reflecting its preference for arid environments. It is prized for its unique rosette shape of silvery, curved leaves, which can grow up to 60 cm in diameter. These leaves are covered in small scales called trichomes, which help the plant absorb water and nutrients. When mature, Tillandsia Xerographica produces a long flower stalk with tubular flowers that are yellow, green, or red. This plant is hardy and low maintenance, making it a popular choice for indoor gardeners. It prefers brightly lit locations and requires regular watering, but is also tolerant of periods of drought.
