Clip When the clip is pressed to extend the rollerball tip, the clip itself retracts into a slot in the shaft, meaning that it can no longer be used to clip the pen onto a (jacket) pocket. When the top of the clip is pressed, however, the rollerball tip disappears inside the body and the clip returns to its original position.
