Reflected in the Water - cikâstepekisin - Fine Art PrintsAs the sun descends below the horizon, it lights up the cutbanks in Lheidli T'enneh territory. cikstepekisin (cheka steh peh kih sin) means it is reflected in the water. As in, the sunset which is reflected in the river. (This has been confirmed by members of the Chakastapasin First Nations) I'm choosing to name my paintings with Cree words in the effort to bring more of my ancestral language into my life.
