Still holding on to its last gasp of youth here, this might be a slightly more masculine Pomerol. The soaring aromatics are in play here. Full bodied, concentrated and with depth of flavor, the wine offers a structured wall of ripe, sweet, plum, cherry and truffle, along with a lot of tannin for a Pomerol of this age. Granted, this was from a magnum, so that should be taken into consideration. Still, I would give it a few more years to see where it goes.
