This is a gorgeous hand crafted sterling silver pendant with a boulder opal cabochon.  The opal pendant is signed by the artist. Boulder opals, as the name suggests, are mined from large ironstone boulders under the ground. Thin veins of colorful opal forms in cracks and fissures in these boulders. This piece has a light blue background color with flashes of green and purple. It is prettier in person, the depth and colors didn't show up in the photos.  It is signed on the back - Boulder Opal and the artist's name (which I think is Mayo)
