As one would fully expect, this is aromatically completely different from the nose of the Clos des Forêts with a beautifully elegant and medium-toned nose suffused with highly spiced dark berry fruit liqueur. The supple and seductively silky flavors are underpinned by ultra-refined tannins before terminating in a finish that is borderline austere and firmer than the fine tannins would initially suggest. I like the overall sense of harmony and this should be really lovely in time. 93/2023+
