The TIVM Series IsoVu Measurement System is a galvanically isolated measurement solution for accurately resolving high-bandwidth differential signals up to ±50 Vpk in the presence of large common-mode voltages, with best-in-class common-mode rejection performance across its bandwidth. The series spans six models — TIVM1, TIVM1L, TIVM05, TIVM05L, TIVM02, and TIVM02L — that pair a fiber-optically isolated sensor head with a controller to bring fully floating, differential measurements to a Tektronix oscilloscope.
The IsoVu system is built for differential measurements where complete galvanic isolation is required, where high common-mode voltage or high-frequency common-mode interference is present, and for high-frequency measurements in high-EMI environments. Listed applications include half- and full-bridge designs using GaN, SiC, and IGBTs; floating measurements; power converter design; power device evaluation; switching power supply design; inverter design; motor drive design; and electronic ballast design. It is also applied to EMI and EMI compliance testing, ESD testing, current shunt measurements, and remote probing.
ValueTronics stocks and holds its own inventory in a 20,000-square-foot secure warehouse at 1675 Cambridge Drive in Elgin, Illinois.
Tektronix was founded in 1946 and was acquired by Danaher Corporation in 2007. When Fortive Corporation was spun off from Danaher in 2016, Tektronix became part of Fortive, while continuing to operate under the Tektronix name.
The TIVM Series IsoVu Measurement Systems comprise six models that share a common architecture — a galvanically isolated, fiber-optic electro-optic sensor and controller — and differ primarily in bandwidth tier and fiber cable length. All models carry the same 2,000 V common-mode voltage rating, the same five-cable sensor tip system spanning 1X to 50X attenuation, and the same common-mode rejection behavior up to 100 MHz.
Across the series, the bandwidth tiers are 1 GHz (TIVM1/TIVM1L), 500 MHz (TIVM05/TIVM05L), and 200 MHz (TIVM02/TIVM02L). Within each tier, the base model ships with a 3 meter fiber cable and the "L" variant ships with a 10 meter fiber cable for remote probing reach.
Each new model below is its own dedicated product page with condition-matched pricing. Select the bandwidth tier and fiber cable length that match your application, then choose the listing for the configuration you need.
The models separate along two axes. Bandwidth and typical rise time step through three tiers: 1 GHz / ≤350 ps (TIVM1, TIVM1L), 500 MHz / ≤700 ps (TIVM05, TIVM05L), and 200 MHz / ≤1.8 ns (TIVM02, TIVM02L). The fiber cable length distinguishes each base model (3 m) from its "L" counterpart (10 m).
Cable length also affects propagation delay: the 3 meter fiber cable adds 35 ns ±5 ns, while the 10 meter cable adds 68 ns ±7 ns. The comparison table below summarizes the per-model bandwidth, rise time, and fiber cable length so you can match the configuration to your bench setup.
| Model | Bandwidth | Rise Time (Typical) | Fiber Cable Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| TIVM05 | 500 MHz | ≤ 700 ps | 3 m (9.8 ft) |
| TIVM1 | 1 GHz | ≤ 350 ps | 3 m (9.8 ft) |
| TIVM1L | 1 GHz | ≤ 350 ps | 10 m (32.8 ft) |
| TIVM05L | 500 MHz | ≤ 700 ps | 10 m (32.8 ft) |
