As is almost always the case this is aromatically less elegant but spicier and a bit more complex as well with its reserved array of liqueur-like dark berries, earth and plenty of sauvage characters. There is ample minerality suffusing the more powerful and appealingly textured flavors that also coat the mouth with dry extract while buffering the very firm but not hard tannic spine on the hugely long finish.
