While subtle, there is a perceptible touch of volatile acidity to the moderately high- toned red berry fruit aromas that are trimmed in hints of spice, earth and more discreet wood. The delicious lighter weight flavors are quite supple while offering acceptable length on the balanced finale where a hint of youthful austerity appears. This is definitely on the lighter side and while the VA isn’t likely to bother most tasters, it isn’t as technically correct as the 2019 version.
