Although it's credited jointly to the Notorious B.I.G., The King & I should probably be approached as Faith Evans' first album since 2014 -- the year she released Incomparable -- not necessarily as the third in a series of posthumous B.I.G. releases, following Again and Duets: The Final Chapter. The album incorporates familiar and previously unreleased vocals from B.I.G., but Evans leads the way, as on "Ten Wife Commandments," which repurposes elements of Biggie's "Ten Crack Commandments" in support of Evans' new vocal. The album could be titled The King & I & Friends, as it includes appearances from several guests, including Snoop Dogg, Jadakiss, Lil' Kim, and Biggie's mother.
