Welcome to Lulu Boop Vintage — where carefully sourced vintage and antique garments are preserved, reimagined, and offered a second life. Each piece is unique, carrying the quiet beauty of its past and waiting to be worn again with intention.

Beautiful authentic Edwardian split drawers (open-crotch bloomers) dating to the early 1900s.

These antique undergarments are made from lightweight white cotton batiste, designed to be worn beneath the long layered dresses and petticoats of the Edwardian era. The loose silhouette allowed comfort and movement while maintaining the modest fashion standards of the time.

The bloomers feature a traditional open split crotch, a common and practical construction used in women’s undergarments before modern elastic underwear. This design allowed ease of use while wearing multiple layers of clothing.

The hem is decorated with delicate hand embroidery and eyelet work forming floral motifs, finished with a fine scalloped edge and narrow lace trim. These decorative details added beauty to garments that were technically hidden but still made with great care and craftsmanship.

The waist closes with original cotton ties, allowing the size to be adjusted comfortably.

Pieces like this were part of the essential lingerie trousseau of well-dressed women in the early 20th century, often handmade or carefully embellished at home.

Today these antique bloomers are wonderfully versatile and can be worn as:

  • romantic lingerie
  • festival or resort wear
  • layered under sheer dresses
  • or styled with modern pieces for a relaxed bohemian look.

They are also highly collectible examples of Edwardian textile craftsmanship.

Condition

Good antique condition.

The cotton fabric remains strong and wearable. There are some light discolorations and age marks, typical for garments of this age. The embroidery and lace trim remain beautiful.

Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description.

Fit & Sizing Notes

Vintage and antique garments do not follow modern sizing standards. Many were handmade or custom-tailored for one individual. Size tags, when present, are for reference only — measurements are essential. I’m always happy to assist with fit questions.

Condition & Care

All pieces are vintage or antique and may show gentle signs of age

Pre-1930s fabrics (silk, muslin, lace) are delicate and should be worn with care

Garments are best worn with ease, not tension

Edwardian & Victorian considerations:

Corset-era pieces often have very small waists with broader shoulders or hips

Sleeves are frequently designed as ¾ length

Buttons may vary due to age and period repairs
