Vitra Panton SandalyeThe Panton Chairs story begins in the late 1950s, when Danish designer Verner Panton envisioned a plastic cantilever chair. Although the daring design initially failed to attract manufacturers, Willi Fehlbaum, founder of Vitra, became interested.
